Of course, he will talk about it in the coming months, but the acquisition of Warner Bros Skydance will condition the future scenarios of films and TV series. The new company will simply be called Skydance with the aim of keeping Warner Bros and Paramount separate as names, such as studios and as platforms. Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg will supervise Warner and Paramount film studios while George Cheeks oversees 3 of Warner Bros, CBS and Paramount TV. Casey Bloys (HBO boss) will instead supervise HBO Max and Paramount+ that should not be merged but become a bundle (here the strategy could be the same as Disney and HULU only on a global scale and not only USA, so a few separate years maybe acquired together and then Paramount will end up in HBO Max).
La strategia “syndacation” di Disney
Disney made a deal with Netflix to share some of its titles. A strategy that assumes that Netflix is the most widespread platform in the world and can help grow the public of its titles. So on October 4 the first 2 seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympian gods will arrive in time for the debut of the third on November 20, the same day the films of L’era glaciale will come. On the global level, the first four seasons of Will Trent will arrive on November 3rd, which will start again in the USA in early 2027, on December 1st will be at Shifting Gears – The Hurricane of Daughter, on February 26th outside the USA will be at Tracker 1-3. There will also be old TV series such as Felicity, Revenge, Army Wives, Fresh off the Boat (not in all countries) and This is Us. Netflix continues to enrich its catalog while Disney promotes its titles, a victory for everyone. Disney is not new to these agreements, its titles in Italy are also on Sky/NOW, on Prime Video in short prefer to resell, cash and redistribute rather than keep everything for itself.

The Watcher
Who does not die is seen in the world of streaming. Four years after the renewal took place in November 2022, the production of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s The Watcher’s second season began. But contrary to the usual we are not from the parts of an anthology but of a real series with Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Margo Martindale and Isabel Gravitt who will take their roles, Luke David Blumm is missing that in the first season he played the son of Brannock (Nora and Dean played by Watts-Cannavale). In the meantime Murphy returned to Disney-20th Television but as he had done during the years of Netflix, he can continue working for the series already started but not producing new ones.
