A Cop in Appennino, Claudio Bisio protagonist of Rai 1: the episodes of April 9

Claudio Bisio is the protagonist of the new detective fiction of Rai 1 and RaiPlay A Cop in Appennino that from Thursday 9 April will occupy the first evenings of the network. As the debate on the starting time of the first evening of Rai 1 and Canale 5, now increasingly pushed towards 22 with the productions that are trying to change direction to the networks or alternatively reason on programming with a bet per week, debuts a new TV series with a decidedly unexpected protagonist for the Rai fiction.

But it is not only Claudio Bisio the surprise of this title produced by Picomedia, the company of the Asacha Group and part of Fremantle, in collaboration with Rai Fiction, because the direction is of Renato De Maria and in the cast is also Valentina Lodovini. A cop in Appennino is created by Fabio Bonifacci, produced by Roberto Sessa. The series interweaves irony, mystery and drama and follows the events of Commissioner Vasco Benassi, a man out of the ordinary, not very ligious to the rules, endowed with a great spirit of observation and intuition.

Uno Sbitto in Appennino, la sinossi

Set in the suggestive scenery of Muntagò – an imaginary country that represents the entire Apennine with its beauty, depopulation, traditions and the popular soul – follows the events of Commissioner Vasco Benassi, defined by his colleagues “the best cop”, willing sometimes to pass over to some rules to stop the criminals. For this reason he was transferred to his native country, which he had abandoned as a young man because of a mourning never resolved that we will discover slowly. Accompanied by the young colleague Amaranta, Benassi finds himself facing not only intricate cases, but also the ghosts of his past and the complexity of human relationships.

1×01 Right or prejudice? Vasco Benassi is transferred to Muntagò for a decision of the commissioner who lives as a punishment. Here he finds old friends and family, but the return to the native country awakens in him painful memories. Benassi soon finds himself involved in a suspect death case: Renato Pinardi, an elder of the village of Ca’ Pasello, is found dead in his house. Renato, Karina, a Belarusian woman from the mysterious past, becomes the main suspect. At the same time, Benassi is approaching Nicole Poli, a mayor of Bologna and her old flame that involves him in a mystery related to the strange behavior of his son Magico. This rapprochement awakens feelings of Benassi, who is also thinking about his past.

1×02 The secrets of the well: Amaranta, a young agent of Benassi’s team, approaches Magico, an enigmatic boy involved in illegal activities. Making an interest in him, Amaranta discovers a marijuana plantation hidden in the woods and arrests the boy, demonstrating his determination. This arrest creates tensions between Benassi and Nicole, Mother of Magic, who accuses the commissioner of using Amaranta to frame his son. Meanwhile, investigations into Renato’s death take an unexpected turn
