The North Sea is the film aired tonight, Tuesday, May 5, on Rai 4 and streaming on RaiPla. A Norwegian adventure film on an oil platform in the northern seas, directed by John Andrea Andersen released in 2021 and distributed in Italy on Prime Video the following year distributed by Minerva Pictures, was presented at the Film Festival in Rome.

The North Sea La trama

The North Sea plot takes us to the Norwegian coast where an oil platform collapses dramatically, jeopardizing the men who work there and threatening the ecological catastrophe. The structure was built in 1969, when the Norwegian government had discovered a large oilfield in the North Sea and, decided to profit, started a large financial campaign. Fifty years later, as a result of the collapse, researchers try to figure out what might have happened and they will find themselves faced with something even more disturbing. It is necessary to manually close the well: the heroic Stian offers to do so but will remain trapped. Her fiancée Sofia understands that no one will go to save him and take the initiative: she will try with her friend Arthur.
