Romanticism but without adolescents are at the center of one of the new films coming to Prime Video Love of Your Life (The Love of Your Life), directed by Rachel Morrison, to her second feature film after The Fire Inside, with Margaret Qualley and Gabriel Basso ready to snore from the action role of The Night Manager. Love of Your Life is a story that mixes romance and drama, telling how a sudden event can change forever the way of looking at love and the future. Written by Julia Cox and produced by Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson, the film will arrive on October 14 exclusively on Prime Video, after premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.
La trama
The protagonist is Maya, a young woman whose life changes when she accidentally meets Charlie. What is born as a fortuitous encounter quickly turns into a story of intense love, destined to build a future that seems to go beyond every expectation.
When that future is suddenly upset, Maya finds itself catapulted in a completely different reality. Forced to rethink his existence, he must confront himself with pain, with the choices of the past and with the possibility to open once again to love, rediscovering who he really is and what he wants from life.
Il cast
Margaret Qualley plays Maya, the protagonist of history, while Gabriel Basso dresses Charlie’s shoes, the man who changes the course of his life.
The cast also includes Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Catherine Keener, Tamara Lawrance and Corey Johnson. The director is entrusted to Rachel Morrison, the first woman running for the Oscar for photography thanks to Mudbound. The original soundtrack is composed by Dustin O’H Thenn, author of music for cinema and television. The creative team includes the costume designer Jill Taylor, Jennifer Vecchiarello, stage designer Laura Ellis Cricks and photography director Todd Banhazl.
