From the new original productions to recent successes to the cinema, passing through TV series loved by the public and cult films that enter the catalog, August 2026 promises rich news for Netflix subscribers. Among the most anticipated arrivals are the fifth and final season of Outer Banks, the final chapter of the ambitious adaptation of Cent’anni di loneliness, the sci-fi thriller The Last House, L’uomo dei sussurri con Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan e Adam Scott, as well as films such as The Beekeeper, Gloria! and the entire saga of Final Destination.

It is not a particularly rich month for Netflix that relies on archive titles and consolidated productions, without launching big news. From 1 August the first five seasons of Chicago P.D. arrived, while from 4 August the four seasons of I Tudor debuted, the drama period with Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Among the Original Netflixs, on August 5th Hundred years of loneliness with the second part of the series taken from the masterpiece of Gabriel García Márquez and the grand finale scheduled on August 26th, thought as a special episode that concludes the entire adaptation of the novel. The 6 return the teenage loves of A splendid error.
On August 20, the fifth and final season of Outer Banks arrived. The last chapter of the series shows John B, Sarah and the Pogues for a last adventure that promises to finally close the treasure hunt started in 2020, after the dramatic events of the final of the previous season.

The Last House is a science fiction thriller directed by Louis Leterrier. Set in a future in which the Earth has become largely uninhabitable, it follows a group of survivors refugees in a highly technological house that represents the last hope of humanity, but hides even greater dangers than those present outside.
Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan and Adam Scott are the protagonists of L’uomo dei sussurri from the novel by Alex North. Tom’s son, a widower of yellows, disappears, so Tom asks for help to his father, Pete, former police detective, now retired with whom he hadn’t had a relationship for a long time. They will find that the disappearance is linked to an old case of a serial killer, the whisperer man, arrested by Pete and still in prison.

In addition to film and scripted series, August also brings some new documentaries and reality original. These include Big Chicken: The conspiracy of fast food, Mourinho and Freefall: The reckoning for Boeing, dedicated to the developments of the story that involved the American aviation giant.
