The autumn television season soon begins on Mediaset networks. If Network 4 has already rekindled the various political and news programs and The Wheel of Fortune has never stopped, even it is a fiction to inaugurate the season of Channel 5. With an unusual choice the network decided to start the new series with Vanessa Incontrada, Erica – A detective by chance on Wednesday 2nd September. Only three episodes for the TV series that is treated by a successful French format of TF1, adaptation of Camilla Läckberg’s novels considered the queen of Nordic yellow.
The Italian version is produced by 7Verticale in coproduction with RTI and directed by Ciro D’Emilio; the script involves Fabrizio Bettelli, Davide Cescutti, Giorgio Glaviano and Flaminia Padua. Camilla Läckberg, author of the literary saga, was also present on the Italian set during filming.
In the center Erica Magliani a successful thriller writer, accustomed to building on the page crimes, motives and twists scene. But when he returns to Piombino, the city of his childhood, he finds himself involved in a real case and ends up putting his own intuition at the service of an investigation, but he will also have to deal with a wise inspector interpreted by Francesco Scanna and with the report to be seized with his sister (Ivana Lotito).
La trama
Erica Magliani is a writer of established yellows, but is going through a phase of creative crisis. The return to Piombino, linked to the memories of childhood and the need to take care of the legacy of parents together with his sister Lucia, brings her back to an environment from which she had long gone away. This is where Erica is involved in an investigation. His ability to observe people and seize details, matured through years to build characters and mysteries in his novels, leads her to join commissioner Leonardo Carrese, interpreted by Francesco Scianna.
Leonardo is a prepared and instinctive cop, but between him and Erica the relationship is not immediately simple. The two have different methods and often end up fighting, while the investigation forces them to collaborate. Meanwhile, Erica must also deal with the secrets of his family and his relationship with Lucia, who feels he was left behind by his sister when Erica chose to move to Milan.
Il Cast
Vanessa Incontrada interprets the protagonist, Erica Magliani, a brilliant and intuitive woman who has built her own success by telling delights in her novels, behind her safety as a successful writer there is a creative crisis and pain for the sudden loss of parents. His way of observing people becomes the instrument with which he can read situations and behaviors, inevitably entering into conflict with the rules of the official investigation.
Next to her is Francesco Scianna, who plays Leonardo Carrese, commissioner transferred to Piombino after attacking a superior who had a relationship with his former wife. Leonardo is brilliant, ironic and little inclined to be impressed, but at work he is a scrupulous investigator who does not even neglect the seemingly more insignificant clues. With Erica, an immediate relationship of jokes, distrust and attraction is born, which progressively tests both.
Lucia, played by Ivana Lotito, is the younger sister of Erica and has always considered the protagonist a point of reference. The return of Erica also reopens some tensions: Lucia reproaches her that she has moved away from the family to pursue her career in Milan. The relationship between the two sisters is intertwined with the mysteries that Erica has to face, especially when a threat emerges that concerns Lucia directly.
In addition to them, the cast includes Giampiero De Consiglio in the role of deputy inspector Marco (metodic and right arm of Leonardo), Valerio Morigi as Giulio (the husband of Lucia who has a different personality than the one he shows), Josafat Vagni as Francesco, Sabrina Martina, Caterina Forza, Damiano Potenti, Daniela Macaluso and Paola Sambo.

1×01 After many years of absence, the Yellowlist Erica Magliani returns to Tuscany to deal with her sister Lucia of herds’ parents: it is a mourning that adds to a period of professional crisis and sentimental defeats. In Piombino he reconnects with the best friend of his time, but just before the two women can see each other, Alessandra remains involved in a serious bloodshed. This pushes Erica, not convinced of the simple solution proposed by the police, to dress up the shoes of the detective. Digging into the present and past of the victim, as well as jeopardizing his safety, Erica collides with Leonardo Carrese, the beautiful commissioner of the investigations with which a conflictual attraction arises. In the meantime, the sensitivity of the gardener puts Erica in alert on Lucia, who is trying in vain to hide something from her: a subtle and dangerous violence, hidden right in the place that should guarantee defense and protection.
