The iconic Downton Abbey is coming back… but not as you think! The LEGO Group has announced the LEGO Ideas Downton Abbey set, a spectacular 4,711-piece construction model designed for passionate adults.
Inspired by the beloved TV series and the trilogy of films for the cinema produced by Carnival Films, the set rich in details, based on the true Highclere Castle, invites the builders to respond to the bell, cross the threshold and immerse themselves in a world made of spectacular architectures and hidden secrets behind each door.

The set pays tribute to the award-winning franchise, and allows fans to explore the clear separation in an elegant Edwardian dwelling between the life “top”, where the nobles live, and “bottom”, the world of servitude. How does Countess Mother say in the famous phrase “What is a weekend? ”, for fans now is the perfect opportunity to get comfortable, sip a tea and build this magnificent piece of furniture intrigued with the details of Downton Abbey.
The modular design of the set allows the builders to lift the upper floor to explore the lively kitchen, the servitude room and the office of Mr. Carson downstairs, before climbing to the large dining room, the main entrance and the library. From the decorated exterior architecture and the imposing cedar to the most meticulous interior details, the set lends itself as an elegant furnishing element for the house or office, also suitable for the most refined spaces.
Authenticity is at the centre of this set, which captures a fascinating period of historical transition, when the candle light still trembles next to the first glows of electricity. The builders will discover authentic vintage details, including a mix of lighting sources, a first model of electric saddler in the kitchen and a candlestick phone from 1910-1920 in Mr. Carson’s office. The set also includes historical portraits, installations that recall the galatheus at the table and a dining table for the servants strictly arranged according to the rank.

The model includes 13 detailed minifigures representing the iconic family of Season 6: Countess Mother, Lord Grantham, Lady Grantham, Lady Mary, Lady Edith, Tom Branson, Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Bates, Anna Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs. Patmore and Daisy Parker. Each minifigure presents face prints on two sides and additional clothing elements designed specifically for sitting at the table.
The idea behind the LEGO Ideas Downton Abbey set was originally presented by Czech Fan Designer Sebastian Veselka (name LEGO Ideas: BRO3) in LEGO Ideas. The platform invites fans to present product ideas, which are then voted by the community before being considered for production as official LEGO sets.
Sebastian Veselka comments: “Reconstructing Downton Abbey as a LEGO set was a special way to celebrate the series, combining my passion for British architecture, memories of when I watched the show with my family and the atmosphere of the 1920s. Seeing the project reaching 10,000 supporters in only three months was incredible. I am really grateful to all those who supported it and I look forward to fans to travel back in time and enter the iconic Crawley family home in LEGO version.”.
The building experience is rich in secrets of high society and discovered in the environments of servitude, including some easter egg dedicated to Sebastian Veselka. The builders will be able to look for the box of servitude bells with the joked “LEGO room”, the newspapers that report the initials of the fan designer (SV) and a base of the heart-shaped tree, a tribute to the romantic scenes of the series.
