Saturday, September 12, 2026 on Italy 1 will air the adventure film “Viaggio on the mysterious island“. The film, directed by Brad Peyton, is the sequel of “Viaggio al centro della Terra” and is taken from the novel by Jules Verne. The appointment with the film is at about 21:20 on Italy 1.
The film, released in 2012 cashed $335.2 million worldwide, of which 103.8 million were cashed in the US market. In Italy the film cashed €4.8 million.
Viaggio nell’isola misteriosa, la trama
Journey to the Earth Center, the 17-year-old Sean (Josh Hutcherson, who takes up the role he had in the first film) receives a code relief request from a mysterious island – a place with bizarre and threatening life forms, dangerous volcanoes and amazing secrets! Not holding him, Sean’s mother’s husband (Dwayne Johnson) decides to follow him in the search.
The two, along with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzmán) and his beautiful and determined daughter Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens), depart to find the island, subjugate the only inhabitant and escape before an earthquake lets her fall forever with the treasures she hides.
