The film tells the true story of Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy who one day decide to adopt an African American boy, Michael Oher. Michael doesn’t know he’s his father, and his mother is a drug addict who can’t take care of him. Michael never studied well, but he’s very smart, and this allowed him to learn something, though alone. Leigh Anne takes adoption seriously and does everything to ensure the boy with the best studies and a chance to succeed.
The couple will not only welcome Michael in their home, but will hire a tutor to help him improve his vows, to the point to do so admits to the NCAA Division, the official league of basketball that will shortly offer him a scholarship. Michael Oher was among the first picks of the Baltimore Ravens, an American football team.
