While the docu-reality The College is about to return, RaiPlay is ready to tell an even more true side of the boys with FOMO – Fear of Missing Out a docu-series that shows the last year of school of a real Roman high school. The last year of school told for what it really is: intense, fast, emotional, without breaks. A world made of absolute friendships, first loves, sudden dramas, endless chats and decisions that change everything within a night. And that question that comes, sooner or later, for everyone: who will we be big?
The series with a direct, simple and ironic language wants to be a portrait of today’s adolescence also through music. The school is the main space in which the story of the year of maturity is developed with its symbolic appointments, from the “dicio” to the exits, from the parties to the periods spent abroad, from the self-management to the trips, up to the hundred days, to the holidays of the end of the year that recalcate those Americans and the maturity. A life filtered by luxury and well-being, since the chosen school is the Vittoria Colonna in Rome, located in the historic center between Campo de Fiori and the Pantheon, also for that there are references that the English would call “posh”, a little snob, rich robe.
Outside the school, the story of real life, in houses, families and the most intimate relationships, but also the digital dimension, made of chats, vocals, screen recordings, stories and images produced directly by the boys, who return their real way of communicating, exposing and telling each other. To enrich the story, an unpublished made for the series by singer Ariete while the soundtrack is produced by Voga (Enrico Esposito and Lorenzo Biscione).
The docu-series that tells in 12 episodes (which will come out weekly) the life of a group of students of the Liceo Vittoria Colonna of Rome from the first day of school until the maturity. Questions, assemblies, nights out, complicated loves, friendships changing, intimate confessions and all the energy of a generation living online and offline without any more distinction. An unpublished look on what the boys and girls are moving today, or at least part of them because generalizing or thinking that adolescents in the centre of Rome are equal to those in other areas of the city or Italy is a mistake.
