Demolition – Love and live is the film of 2015 airing tonight Tuesday 29 September 2026 on Heaven. Written by Bryan Sipe, the film is directed by Jean-Marc Vallèe, a director who has recently died Oscar winner for Dalla Buyers Club (as editor) and two Emmys for Big Little Lies. The film tells the story of a successful man who faces the sudden death of his wife. The protagonist of Demolition is Jake Gyllenhaal.
The film was released in 2015, in Italy it passed into indifference cashing just 79 thousand euros, globally it did not exceed 4.2 million dollars with a percentage on Rotten Tomatoes of 54% and 49 out of 100 on Metacritic with reviews not always flattering.

Demolition is the story of Davis working as an investor in New York. He has a good success but his life has a sudden turning point when his wife Julia dies in a road accident in which he was also involved in getting hurt. As he recovers in the hospital, he begins to tell his emotional state to a woman who works at the customer service of food distributors. When he comes back to work, before what was anticipated, he initially seems to have a detached approach to how successful it seems not to try anything.
The woman with whom he had written to complain about the machines, follows him but by mistake reveals his identity. So Davis knows Karen, engaged to his employer, mother of a 15-year-old problem and between the two a beautiful platonic friendship arises. Davis starts looking for “truth in things” by breaking them, destroying them, thus seeking an explanation for his own pain. And it also destroys his home.
