News TV series: Martin and Charlie Sheen in Happy Jack; new adaptations from Alice Freeney and Elle Kennedy novels

Charlie e Martin Sheen insieme in Happy Jack

Charlie and Martin Sheen will be father and son in Happy Jack, comedy ordered in 6 episodes by AMC who will debut in 2027. Created by Jim Patterson and Matt Ross (two and a half men and The Ranch), produced by AMC Studios, the series will be an exception in the AMC drama scene.

Charlie Sheen is Jack who has two daughters raised especially thanks to his father. Kate runs the family business, Sam is more like the father. When Sam brings home the boyfriend who has the same age as his father, a former banker who became life guru, Jack will have to decide who he wants to be.

Fifth Season and William Oldroyd behind the successful adaptation of Alice Freeney His & Hers’ novel, are working on Twist from the new Freeney novel released next year. Twist is described as a thriller about love, marriage, revenge and murder. In the center there is a flight attendant who has a double life with two husbands and a murder that overwhelms and their lives.

Future Housewives

Ariana Madix will be the protagonist of the TV series Future Housewives in production in Peacock produced by Fuzzy Door by Seth MacFarlane. The series will be set in the colony of New Beverly Hills on an asteroid where rich are divided between interplanetary scandals and beauty care, until that glamorous world is overwhelmed by a girl who shows how superficial society is, in a sort of satire of reality shows.

Thornbird

HULU is working on the adaptation of the novel Thornbird by Elle Kennedy (Off Campus) with Marlene King dealing with the screenplay and 20th Television in production. Thornbird is a coming-of-age thriller on a girl at the center of a mystery. Ten years after the capture of the serial killer father, 17-year-old Ryan Shipley returns to his hometown, Starling in Tennessee. Nobody really knows who he is or knows his past, he just wants to live his teenage life.

Gabriel Tierney, Auliʻi Cravalho, Peter Berry, Chaneil Kular, Devin Craig, and Aidan Shaw enter the cast of Icebreaker YA Netflix from Hannah Grace’s novel, which tells the love of college between a hockey champion and a skating star.
