Netflix has announced a new serial production set in the world of Italian discography. The Label will see Christian De Sica and Claudio Santamaria interpret a father-son couple. Surely the TV series will have a comedy but the format has not been specified if it will be from 30 or from 45/60 minutes. The director is by Luca Miniero, in Be Water production, the script is entrusted to Stefano Bises, Davide Serino (already authors of M-The son of the Century among other things) and Giacomo Bendotti. As it is now frequent for these productions, it will be 6 episodes.
The Label, la trama
The most turbulent year of the Label, the last great independent Italian label, overwhelms three generations of the same family: Ade (Christian De Sica), a genial and dispotic patriarch unable to leave the command, Carlo (Claudio Santamaria), the son between the banks and the weight of the inheritance, and Celeste (Sofia Conti), the niece who brings in the Label the new musical scene. While the label risks bankruptcy and becomes a battlefield between old and new, a race is unleashed to find the song, or the artist, able to save it and the daily life of the record work mixes with sentimental and artistic relationships that intertwine and break.
Il Cast
Particularly rich the cast that sees the presence of several famous faces of the Italian cinema joining both more adult generations like De Sica and Ornella Muti to the young Sofia Conti who plays the nephew. In the cast we find Cristiana Capotondi, Madior Giorgio Fall and Martina Gatti.
Quando esce?
Difficult to anticipate when we see The Label, possible an exit during 2027 maybe in the first six months of the year.
