Apple TV announced the arrival on 30 October of Nocturne, crime with Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham, adaptation of the novels of Lars Kepler Lazarus and The Sandman. The TV series in 10 episodes that will be released weekly, is written by Rowan Joffe and John Hlavin (“Shooter”, “The man who fell on Earth”) which is also showrunner, produced for Apple TV by A+E Studios.
Lars Kepler is among the world’s best-selling thriller authors: the ten crime novels published sold a total of 20 million copies worldwide. The series of books is translated into 40 languages and distributed in more than 170 territories.
Nocturne la trama
Nocturne tells the story of Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), a former military detective who, tired of working in the difficult streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania looking for tranquility. But when the city and its family end up in the sight of the evilly cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham), Jonah will have to protect everything he has most expensive. When the desperate search for the last missing victim of Jurek forces Jonah to send his adopted daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), to confront Jurek, to what extent will Jonah be willing to push himself?
Il cast
The protagonists of the TV series are Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham, the cast includes Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Poorna Jagannathan and Gary Carr. The winner of Emmy, Peabody and DGA Award Tim Van Patten (“Franklin”, “Masters of the Air”, “Black Mirror”) directs the first two episodes and is executive producer. In addition to being a protagonist, Schreiber is executive producer, and Beetz is executive producer through his production house Sleepy Poppy.
