As it was easily predictable, Netflix ordered the Bridgerton spinoff dedicated to Lady Violet. It will be a miniseries as in the case of La Regina Carlotta: a Bridgerton story, but at the moment it does not have an official title (but it is not to exclude that you go towards Lady Violet: a Bridgerton story).
Considering that the previous attempt had been a particularly successful miniseries, even more than the seasons of the main series, it is certainly good news. As is positive the fact that Shonda Rhimes resumes the keyboard in his hand and decided to write this miniseries as well. The author, screenwriter is more and more focused on the role of producer but when he puts hand to a subject at the end he feels the difference.

Rhimes will be accompanied by Nicholas Nardini who had already produced Queen Charlotte as well as collaborated in Scandal. The two will be showrunners, producers and screenwriters. Tom Verica, collaborator of the Shondaland world, will be the director.
There is not much to reveal about the plot, the series will tell the young Lady Violet and her love story with the Viscount Edmund Bridgerton. Connie Jenkins-Greig played the young Violet in Queen Charlotte given the link that the woman has with the queen, but it is unclear whether the actress will take over the role. Nor has it been established if other players of that miniseries will return, in the end the problem is that they have passed years and could be too adult for the role. Ruth Gemmell plays Lady Violet in Bridgerton.
Bridgerton’s fifth season is currently in production with the love story of Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza). The choice of announcing this project could perhaps help to reduce the expectation between the future seasons of Bridgerton, with the fifth in 2027, the miniseries in 2028 and the sixth season in 2029. But they’re just assumptions.
