Star, passion, family and professional balances, The Diplomat is the TV series that everyone would like in their catalog and that comes back with the fourth season on Netflix. Created by Debora Cahn and led by Keri Russell, the series returns on Thursday, October 15, 2026 and resumes the events from the final of the third season, when the American ambassador to London begins to suspect that he was betrayed with a secret plan by her husband Hal and US President Grace Penn. The crisis also involves Todd Penn, the president’s husband, and risks having consequences on international balance.
La trama di The Diplomat 4
After the appointment of Grace Penn to the presidency of the United States, Kate Wyler is having to manage an increasingly complex situation, in which diplomatic interests intertwine with personal alliances difficult to decipher. The relationship with Hal, who became vice president, is tested by new suspects, while the closeness between him and Grace opens a fracture that also involves Todd Penn.
The new season brings Kate’s attempt to stop a maneuver that could compromise international security. Grace and Hal are involved in a plan tied to Russia’s most powerful weapon, a story that is likely to push the United States towards a conflict. Kate will have to understand to what extent she can trust the closest people and try to prevent decisions taken at the top of power from precipitating the situation between Washington, London and Moscow.
