There are thrillers who live in closed environments and others who can be claustrophobic while doing outdoors. Force of Nature – Beyond deception belongs to this second category and airs tonight at 21:20 on Rai 3, bringing on the small screen a tense and compelling adaptation of Jane Harper’s novel.
La Trama
The story moves on multiple time planes and starts with what had to be a quiet team building company retreat organized in the lush and impervious woods of the Victorian Ranges mountain range. Five women, all co-workers at a powerful Melbourne financial company, cross the paths of the nature reserve, but at the agreed collection point only four wounds and shocks reappeared.
Missing the appeal and Alice Russell, key figure and computer mole who was secretly collaborating with the federal police in a high-risk investigation for money laundering. Emergency call on the spot along with fellow Carmen Cooper, Agent Aaron Falk begins to rebuild the last hours of hikers through testimonies and flashbacks. Among the threat of an imminent storm, snake bites and the disappearance of the living will emerge cross-references, office secrets and old rancours never surprised, transforming the search for a lost in a murder investigation where every colleague and potential victim suspect.
