Black Doves 2, Keira Knightley returns among spies, secrets and new threats on Netflix

Helen Webb can’t think of living a quiet life. While her husband Wallace is preparing to become British prime minister, she continues to work for a clandestine organization that sells state secrets. His dual identity is increasingly difficult to manage and, when his manager Reed gets involved in a plot, Helen returns to contact Sam Young, the long-time friend who knows as well as her the darkest side of London. The second season of Black Doves arrives on Netflix on Thursday 5 November 2026, with Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw again protagonists.

Created and written by Joe Barton, the British series resumes the story between spy thrillers, action and black humor. The new episodes bring Helen and Sam even closer to the heart of the organization they work for, testing their trust and ties with people seeking to protect. The season consists of six episodes, available simultaneously in streaming.

Black Doves 2 la trama

Helen Webb has been a spy for ten years to pass confidential information from the British government to the Black Doves, the clandestine organization she is part of. Her position is already delicate, but it becomes even more risky when her husband Wallace approaches Downing Street. The woman is in fact working closer and closer to the centre of political power, with the need to keep her activity hidden.

Meanwhile, Reed, his responsible enigmatic, remains trapped in a plot that threatens his role within the Black Doves. To search for answers, Helen meets at Sam Young, her best friend and a high-level hit time. After the events of the first season, Sam is in a difficult phase, between legal problems, short-term assignments and an agreement with a mysterious emissary that could offer him a way out.

The new mission reports the two protagonists to confront old allies and enemies. Loyalty questioned, betrayed confidence and decisions related to the past complicate their path, while the protection of loved ones becomes an increasingly dangerous matter. The conflict moves so far to the center of Black Doves, where Helen and Sam will have to understand who they can trust.
